The WGSM/WCTO production room console was a Gates Studioette.
Here it is today in studio B of WA2FNQ. I purchased it at a local Ham
Radio flea market for $20 after it was pointed out to me by former chief engineer Elliot Gross.
It came complete with the white formica top, which was part of the production room furniture.
The Lafayette VU meter was used to monitor the playback levels from the production room cart
machines. The console was covered in wood grain contact paper by ex-chief engineer Mat Restivo
when the finish got so bad he couldn't do anything else with it.
A WGSM production room tape box label. This is on the box of one of the many
out take reels made when I worked as assistant production manager to Bob Oliver. Yes, I
still have them.
A WCTO production room tape box label e-mailed to me by a friend.
