Amateur Radio Station WA2FNQ
The End
November 1989 marked the end of all operations of WA2FNQ from its
East Northport, N.Y. location. After 26 years this station was dismantled. A
new studio had been built and tested during the early months of 1989. It was
moved to its present location a few blocks away in Northport, N.Y. and put on
the air using temporary antennas with back up transmitting equipment. The
remaining equipment was then moved from the old station with no off air
time.
